Granny’s Herb Chicken Marinade

When my mom was little my grandmother worked at Foster Farms. This was a marinade recipe (supposidly from Max Foster) for the chicken. Wherever it came from, it’s really good. And I used it on the lamb for easter and I have to say, it was killer on that.

Ingredients
2-3 sprigs fresh rosemary
½ bunch fresh parsley
A few sprigs fresh thyme and oregano or any other herb you have on hand
1 large onion cut into pieces
2-3 sloshes Worcestershire Sauce
1 c. white Wine
2-3 tablespoons vinegar
¼ c. Olive oil
Salt and pepper

Put all ingredients in the blender and puree until very smooth (foamy green slime). If you use a food processor it won’t be foamy, at least mine wasn’t.
Marinate chicken for 1-2 hrs. in the refrigerator. You can do it overnight but I would leave out the vinegar so the extra acid doesn’t cook the chicken. Drain then barbeque until done.
